Rihanna was born in Barbados and grew up in a small bungalow. She lived in a troubled home with low income. Rihanna had a difficult childhood because she was constantly dealing with the drama from her parents' marital problems and her dad's constant battle with drug and alcohol.
Her father would often come home drunk after using all his paycheck on drug and alcohol and beat her mother. when Rihanna was just 8 years old, she started suffering intense headaches that led to many exams. The doctor thought that Rihanna might have a tumor. But after her parents got divorced, the headaches stopped.
At school, things weren’t much better. She was constantly bullied by the kids over her light complexion – due to her father’s Irish descendence. Because of the bullying Rihanna got a reputation for being painfully shy.
