Disadvantage Roll: Rolls two sets of dice and keeps the lower result. Used when a character is at a disadvantage.

Frequently Asked Questions
A dice roller is a digital tool that simulates rolling physical dice. It's commonly used for board games, tabletop role-playing games (like Dungeons & Dragons), or any game that requires random number generation. Our dice roller allows you to customize the number of dice, the number of sides, and add modifiers to your rolls.
Yes! Our dice roller uses JavaScript's cryptographically strong random number generation to ensure that each roll is as random as possible. The results are just as random as physical dice, if not more so, as physical dice can sometimes have manufacturing imperfections that affect their randomness.
These are concepts from role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons:
- Advantage: Roll two sets of dice and take the higher result. This is used when a character has a favorable circumstance.
- Disadvantage: Roll two sets of dice and take the lower result. This is used when a character has an unfavorable circumstance.
The modifier is a number that gets added to the total of your dice roll. For example, if you roll a total of 14 on your dice and have a modifier of +3, your final result would be 17. In role-playing games, modifiers often represent a character's abilities or skills.
Yes! You can save your frequently used dice configurations as presets. Just set up your dice (number, type, modifier, etc.), click the "Save Preset" button, and give your preset a name. Your presets will be saved in your browser's local storage, so they'll still be available the next time you visit.
You can roll up to 10 dice at once with our tool. This limit is set to ensure the tool remains responsive and the results are easy to read. If you need to roll more dice, you can make multiple rolls and add the results together.
