- What is a SKU?
- A Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) is a unique identifier for tracking inventory items in your store.
- Why use custom SKUs?
- Custom SKUs help organize inventory, track sales, and quickly identify product variations. They make inventory management more efficient and reduce errors.
- Are these SKUs unique?
- Yes, each generated SKU is unique within the same batch. However, always verify against your existing inventory.
- How do I handle product variations?
- Use attributes to distinguish variations. For example, a blue shirt in size L could be: SHT-BLU-LRG
- What if I make a mistake?
- You can easily delete individual SKUs or clear all entries to start over. Always review before exporting.
- Can I use special characters in SKUs?
- It's recommended to stick with alphanumeric characters and simple separators like "-" or "/" for compatibility.
- How many attributes should I use?
- Use as many as needed to uniquely identify your products, but keep it simple. Most businesses use 2-3 attributes.
